Superintendent of police Dinesh Yadav said that one Rajesh Kumar on March 30 informed Noida police that his daughter Roshni alias Puja is missing since March 28.
He lives in Mamura village in Noida. He lodged a complaint with phase three police station that his daughter had dropped a letter in the house. In the note, she informed that she is going to commit suicide as some people are blackmailing her after making her video in compromising state. She also mentioned that by using that video, some people have dragged her in sex racket. “She told in the note that she is fed up with what happening with her hence she going to commit suicide. She cited in the note that ‘I am leaving at 3 pm and if I do not return by 8 pm, then you will find my body in a drain or river’,” Yadav said that this information had left the police in tizzy.
The police immediately lodged an FIR with phase three police station and kicked off investigation. “In the letter, she named a woman. The police picked up the woman and questioned her. The woman had 20 days old child hence on humatarian ground, we could not grilled her. We also scanned victim’s call details record and got an interesting information, that she was talking to her cousin Shubham alias Montu for hours,” Yadav added that the police worked on this lead and questioned her cousin.
During sustained interrogation, her cousin broke down and shared her information. “The victim had got married to her cousin. However her family had already fixed her marriage with some other person. To avoid her arranged marriage, she hatched a plan,” Yadav further added that the police on the information shared by Shubham, recovered the girl from Narkatiya Ganj village in Bihar.
